Martin Texier

The Rhône has a new voice, and Martin Texier is one worth getting to know. Son of Eric Texier, who helped put Brézème back on the map, Martin has now taken over the family’s vineyards, including old and prized parcels of Serine. Big shoes to fill, but he’s very much carving out his own path.

His route to wine was anything but conventional: economics, DJ decks and a stint with the legendary Louis/Dressner Selections in New York. Today, he makes wines with a light touch — spontaneous ferments, no fining or filtration, and little to no added sulphur.

Expect juicy, lively Rhône reds with plenty of drinkability, backed by increasingly serious depth and a real sense of place. A name to watch, and bottles worth snapping up.
