Verdelho grapes from McClaren Vale handpicked earlier ahead of the heat of harvest, and split into 2 parcels, one a semi-carbonic of 50% whole bunch and 50% destemmed for texture and fruity aromatics. The other parcel was destemmed and kept on skins for 3 weeks, pumped over twice daily to increase skin tannins and development of secondary flavours.

They're both then pressed into a large foudre and small oak barrel, and left to age for 18 months on lees before blending into tank for 12 months elevage. 

 
About the Producer

A shared curiosity in pushing boundaries in winemaking, Yetti and the Kokonut is a collaborative wine project founded in 2015 by South Australian vigneron David “Yetti” Geyer and Belgian-born sommelier Koen “Koko” Janssens.

Based in the Barossa Valley, David and Koen seek out forgotten varieties from organic vineyards across South Australia — including Eden Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills.

With the belief that expressive wines begin in the vineyard, Yetti and the Kokonut prioritise a healthy ecosystem by sourcing only from organically managed vineyards and managing several plots of their own. Their ethos very much centres on respectful, hands-on viticulture and regenerative principles that support soil health, biodiversity and minimal chemical inputs.

David and Koen’s style of wine embraces a vibrant and lo-fi approach: early picking of fruit, native fermentations, extended skin contact and multiple varietal blends to produce drink-now wines that are juicy and lively with playful personalities

Doorstep Delivery

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
