Sun 27 Sep: Wildflower, ft the Last Beers from Brompton St [Part 2]
A VERY SPECIAL TASTING OF WILDFLOWER BEERS
Wildflower Brewing & Blending was founded by brothers-in-law Chris and Topher in Marrickville, NSW. Their beers are made a little differently — fermented with a diverse culture of wild yeasts and bacteria collected from native NSW flowers (hence the name, Wildflower!). Over the years, they've continued to refine their craft while building close relationships with local regenerative farmers growing the grains, hops, and fruit that make their agriculturally focused ales so distinctive.
2 months ago, Wildflower closed the doors to their beloved Brompton St cellar door in Marrickville. While this chapter has come to an end, they're planning to return in a smaller, more rural form in the near future. If you've spent time with us, you'll probably know that Wildflower is one of our favourite breweries from Australia. Having visited their Marrickville home a few times ourselves, we're certainly sad to see it go — but we're equally excited to see what the next version of Wildflower will become.
That’s what makes our upcoming tasting on Sunday, 27 September, very special. This is the 2nd part of our tasting series (the first was held in June!) featuring some of the very last beers released from Brompton St.
If you're a Wildflower fan, a lover of mixed-fermentation beers, or simply a curious beer geek looking to taste a piece of brewing history, we'd love for you to join us.
