90% Grolleau Noir, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, & 5% Gamay from 15 year-old biodynamically cultivated vines in sandy schistous soils. Grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and macerate for 5 weeks in wooden tronconic vats. Spontaneous fermentation and élevage in the same vat & neutral barrique (depending on quantities) for 9-12 months prior to bottling unfined, unfiltered, minimal (natural, volcanic!) sulfur added.
A full-bodied, enveloping and soft red wine. At times rustic, it reveals a great underlying elegance, for a pleased, savory and fruity mouth. A wine that combines charm and determination.
Les Gelinettes is the only red produced at Ferme de La Sansonniere, keeping faith with the Anjou area which wants it as a large block dedicated to white wines. The Cabernet Sauvignon vine, however, finds here an environment familiar with its characteristics, moreover it is not far from the undisputed terroir of Saumur, ideal for this red grape vine. Les Gelinettes, like the other vineyards owned by Angeli, also measures just half a hectare, always trained in Alberello with a density of 8000 vines per hectare.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.
There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.
1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.
Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
