La Grange de l’Oncle Charles

Tucked away in Ostheim, Alsace, La Grange de l’Oncle Charles began with a handful of vines inherited by Jérôme François from his grandfather. In 2014, Jérôme transformed his great-uncle Charles’s old barn into a winery, turning a family legacy into a distinctive natural wine domaine.

Working biodynamically in the vineyards, Jérôme takes a thoughtful, hands-off approach that continues into the cellar, where the wines are made without additives. The focus is on respecting the terroir and allowing the grapes, soils and vintage to speak for themselves.
