William Downie Cathedral Pinot Noir 2024

Overall the season across southeastern Australia in 2024 was, yet again, cool and wet early leading to another season of poor flowering and low yields. The second half of the season, however, was warm and dry giving wines of great depth, aroma and tannin.
The Cathedral Pinot Noir sees a blend of Pinot Noir from various parcels - 40% Upper Goulburn, 35% King Valley, 15% Alpine Valleys and 10% Mornington Peninsula, giving opportunity to balance each other.
All of the fruit was destemmed and not crushed. Native yeast ferment in wooden and stainless steel vats without temperature control. There were no punch-downs or pump-overs and no additions. The must was pressed after 3 weeks and then aged in stainless steel.
A vibrant and somewhat wild nose of native berries (lilly pilly, muntries), bush tomato, pickled rosella, mace and anise myrtle. Fleshy and bright fruit fills out the palate, with complexity and substance on a lithe, elegant body.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.
There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.
1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.
Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
