This Nebbiolo comes from a beautiful vineyard completely surrounded by forest and planted over steep slopes some five hundred metres above sea level. Delicate flavours of earth and rose, framed with soft tannins and good acidity. A beautiful and versatile wine, this is a crowd pleaser!

One of the most sought after names in Barbaresco, Olek Bondonio is not your typical Italian winemaker. He loves surfing, snowboarding and has a penchant bordering on the obsessive for Vegemite.

He grew up in his family's farmhouse La Berchialla. It sits amongst Barbaresco's most famous names such as Gaja and the Barbaresco producers, to whom Olek sold his grapes before he started making his own wine in 2005.

Olek works organically with a real hands on approach, whilst in the cellar he exhibits a patience beyond his years. His wines are precise, pure and deep with a character inspired by old school expressions of Piedmont’s local grapes.
