We've always loved wines from Beaujolais! Often lighter and fresher in style, these wines are highly versatile and easy to love. All from producers who care about their farming and don't mess around in the cellar.

Here we have 2 Beaujolais reds - Premices 2023 made by the respected producer Remi Dufaitre, as well as Croix Pennet 2023 from Beaujolais' new darling Clos Bateau. 

Each set comes with a recyclable premium green gift box and green gift bag, a little info card on the wines, and a hand written note for your special recipient in a matching green envelope. 

Remi Dufaitre Premices 2023 - 100% Gamay from 50-70 year-old vines cultivated in a parcel of Beaujolais-Villages around Brouilly. Hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented and pressed after a short maceration all in concrete tank. Maturation lasts 6-9 months. The lightness and elegance of this wine are balanced with a healthy dose of minerality and complexity that make this one for serious Gamay drinkers 

Clos Bateau Croix Pen(n)et 2023 - Sourced from a south-facing plot on the border of Lantignié and Régnié, Croix Pen(n)et is 100% Gamay that has undergone 11-days of semi-carbonic maceration. 60% of the wine was aged for 8 months in used Burgundy barrels, with the remaining 40% in stainless steel vats. The result is a wine with aromas of ripe red fruits, a touch of wildness, and great gastronomic flexibility.
