The Rattlesnake is Owen Latta’s mad scientist experiment and just like any mad scientist, by jove he has done it. This is a blend of classic varieties like Riesling, Viognier and Pinot Gris amongst others made in a textural, skin contact wine that pushes the boundaries of modern winemaking. The wines are all kept in separate parcels, possibly in various sized beakers, and then blended together with each parcel adding a layer of depth to this wine. There are plenty of peachy, stone fruit notes along with lots and lots of texture.

About the Producer

Latta Vino was born of an unusual history and with a dedication to producing unexpected wines with character. Owen Latta is the son of Norman Latta, the man who established Eastern Peake winery but had to give up winemaking early on due to an accident. Fast forward to today, Owen is one of the most respected winemakers in Australia, his family winery better than ever, and his own label at the cutting edge of Victorian wine. He works with diverse and occasionally difficult soils and sustainable methods to produce wines of small yields that speak for themselves.

Doorstep Delivery

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
