La Grange de l'Oncle Charles Les Longues Lignes 2024

La Grange de l'Oncle Charles is not an estate that explains itself quickly. The story begins in a barn belonging to Jérôme’s uncle, a farmer named Charles from whom he inherited his passion for wine and viticulture. Hence the name.

Jérôme started the estate in early 2014 on a tiny 0.2 hectare plot bequeathed by his grandfather. With help from friends and Morgane, the estate has grown to just over 5 hectares located in the towns of Ammerschwihr, Zellenberg, Rodern, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr. Cultivated biodynamically and without chemicals, the grapes varieties are co-planted, a rare practice in Alsace. All the work is done by hand with the help of 2 horses and a flock of Ouessant sheep.

Dedicated to sustainable and biodyamic practices, Jérôme and Morgane have a hands-off approach and a resolute belief that their wines are able to express themselves purely from the diverse terroir. The varied soils, which includes a mix of limestone, sandstone and clay soils coupled with Alsace's long growing season and cool climate, contribute to the wines’ distinctive minerality, crisp acidity and aromatic complexity.

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
