Fantastic story for fantastic wine. This Condrieu is named after a waterfall that crosses Simon's vineyard. "Le Saut de Lorette" stands for "Lorette's jump" and tells the story of a young woman who has chosen death instead of attending an arranged marriage with a local noble. Hence the design of the label produced by Eugénie Bergeon. Like the story, this wine is vertiginous with a finish that lasts longer than a minute.

100% Viognier on granite and schist terroir. One of the only vineyards to have schists in Condrieu which gives it its outstanding freshness for Condrieu. 350m of altitude. Direct press. 2 years of elevage in barriques on the lees. 1 year of ageing in bottle.  Bottled without fining and filtration. Le Saut de Lorette is the wine that will put Condrieu back on your map. Fresh with good minerality and a heavenly silky texture. Only 800 bottles produced in 2021.
About the Producer

Suspended at an altitude of 450m, the vines of Hameau Touchebœuf grow on the hillside, amidst wild grasses without pesticides. It is here, where the Rhône Valley meets the landscapes of the Pilat Natural Park, that Simon Gastrein makes his wine as he builds his estate. Intuitively. Simply. By letting the terroir, the seasons, and his whims express themselves freely. A trained chef, he spent his youth in the vineyards and forged his palate with a wine-loving grandfather. He went far away to South America before returning to learn on the job. Based in Bessey, Loire since 2017 he creates wines that reflect his personality: unfussy but not without manners. Intuition led him to plant Marsanne and Roussanne alongside Viognier, Gamay, and Syrah, a total of 7 hectares of vines. In 2022, Simon and his friends created his trading company Maison Troupeau to diversify his range by purchasing grapes from his winegrower friends, who, of course, have the same respect for the vines and the soil as he does, and thus vinify in his own way. Natural wines without added sulfites, fresh and fruity!

Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.
