Hugo Stewart’s farming story doesn’t begin with fruit, but with pigs. The family farm; Botley’s, had belonged to his grandmother and uncle, before the responsibility fell to him. So pigs it was, until twenty years ago. Needing a change of scenery he rented the farm out to a neighbour so he could spend a year in France. Or so he thought.

When a friend; Paul Old, visited Hugo in the Corbieres he fell hard for the area, insisting he & Hugo should make wine. A bolt from the blue that became Les Clos Perdus, an esteemed biodynamic domaine, ran collaboratively between the two for over a decade, with Hugo responsible for farming their plots of old vines.

Returning back to Wiltshire for his family in 2015, Hugo was confident that the windswept chalk soils of the family farm could make for great vineyards and planted a handful of traditional Champagne varietals. In 2018 he took the fruit of his first home-grown vintage to the nearby Langham estate to be vinified by Daniel Ham, the young head winemaker there. Daniel was so excited by the quality of fruit and the story of Hugo’s biodynamic farming that he soon talked himself into a new job.

From that chance encounter, the second winemaking collaboration of Hugo’s life was born. Both Daniel and Hugo built the winery together at Botley’s . They are a special combination with one heading up the winemaking and is committed to terroir driven wines with the other focused on biodynamic viticulture and complete attention to detail in the vineyard.

Domaine Hugo is a shining example of how the future of wine should look in the UK: small-scale, single vineyard sparkling wine at its finest, from the heart of the English countryside.

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
