CHAMPAGNE LAHERTE FRERES BLANC DE NOIR BRUT NATURE NV
Champagne / France
-

Aurelien Laherte's Blanc de Noirs is made of 50% Pinot Noir from Le Breuil in the Marne Valley, and 50% Pinot Meunier from Côteaux Sud d’Epernay (Chavot and Moussy). Biodynamically farmed, their vineyards are mostly on chalky soils. The wine is fermented and matured in a combination of large foudres and oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation, and then bottled with zero dosage. Delicate, ethereal and beautifully perfumed, with floral and savoury notes.

The Laherte brothers Thierry and Christian are sixth generation wine makers in the Vallée de la Marne in Champange. Aurelien Laherte represents the seventh generation, and has taken the winery to a new dimension. The family has 75 plots across Epernay, Vallée de la Marne, and the Cotes des Blancs. Their idea is to let the terroir speak for itself, and they've certainly outdone themselves each time, earning a reputation as one of the most compelling and revolutionary producers in Champagne.
