Koji Rice Series 1 is the first release of three expressions designed to showcase the beautiful complexities of koji fermentation. Koji rice wine is infused with gently aromatic mahleb, and blended with a kefir of lavender that has been smoked over beechwood.
The blend is an unfiltered, still expression that captures the earthy and herbaceous notes in the koji rice. Possessing a silky, luxurious mouthfeel, the blend is medium-dry, with soothing warm undertones.
The complexity of the drink allows for a myriad of pairing options. Crunchy salads will play well, as well as desserts, particularly dishes such as the classic Danish ‘Risalamande,’ or Hokkaido milk pudding. The drink is also beautiful on its own.
Serve chilled in a wine glass.

Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.
Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.
There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.
1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.
Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
