This rocky and mineral-driven Gruner Veltliner is loaded with flavors of grapefruit, citrus rind, and white pepper. ‘Mechthild’ is considered the ‘kind-hearted grandmother’ in Gut Oggau’s family of wines. The head of the family and mother of the Gut Oggau vineyard. A resolute and strong elderly lady, who continues to guide the fortunes of the Burgenland clan and defies all of life`s trials and tribulations like a gnarled oak in a storm. 

Gruner Veltliner from 60-year old vines on limestone and slate, hand harvested and macerated on skins and stems for 2 days. The wine is then pressed with an ancient wooden tree press and aged in old wooden barrels. 
About the Producer

Founded in 2007 by Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe, Gut Oggau focuses on small-production wines produced in the heart of Burgenland. All cuvées in their ‘family’ of wines are made from biodynamically-farmed fruit.

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
