One of the craziest, funny and provocative winemakers we've met, Fabio Gea was a geologist by trade and has traveled around the world to study agriculture and soil conditions, but his world view is a constant chaos of new ideas and peculiar whims making him possibly somewhere between a genius and a madman.

The 1.8 hectares Fabio farms is from his grandfather Nòtu, (diminutive for Giuseppe in dialect). It is made up of small parcels around different parts of Barbaresco mostly near the Bricco.

Fabio gradually developed his own sensitivity and approach to working in the vineyard heavily inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka. The cellar work is low-tech, manual and unmistakably Fabio. Stainless steel is gradually being phased out in favor of ceramics, porcelain, glass, cement and wood. Going so far as to craft his own porcelain amphoras. No temperature control, cultured yeast, fining or filtration, and the addition of sulphur is completely omitted for a large proportion of his cuvées.

He produces around 5000 bottles a year of 18 different wines. Some wines are traditional, others definitely outside-the-box.

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
