L'Octavin Mayga Gamay 2022

After training in Bordeaux and Burgundy, Alice Bouvot travelled the world and then finally settled in her native Jura. In 2004, her and partner Charles Dagan began to farm 2ha of land in Arbois and the surrounding hills, working from a small cellar in the village. Now the domaine consists of 5ha, including some of the best lieu-dits in the district.

Her practices are strictly biodynamic and a meticulous attitude to pruning and vine health helps to maintain the incredible biodiversity of each plot. Her winemaking style is very much dynamic and there is no recipe for any one cuvée each year. She talks emphatically about the importance of "acidity and coolness" in her wines and how wines from the Jura are fortunate to have these sorts of inherent characters, especially Poulsard. Vinification is done in the most natural way possible, as she says, vinifying in any other way is to "alter the identity of the wine".

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
