La Madone is one of the emblematic terroirs of Fleurie. There is an outcrop of granite that towers steeply over the surrounding vineyards with a famous chapel at the top hence the name. Justin’s small parcel comes from vines owned by his mother, who lives near the top of this famous hillside.

Gamay planted in the 1970s on a very steep slope, south of Côte de Brouilly. 100% whole cluster, semi-carbonic, natural fermentation and maceration for 2-4 weeks, then aged 6 months in old French oak barrels. No fining or filtration.
About the Producer

After some harvest work abroad and numerous years of wine school, Justin, the second son of winemaker Jean-Louis Dutraive, started his own label in 2015.

He spent most of his adult life working for his famous father. The relationship between them is one of mutual respect and admiration. Justin openly shares his ideas with his legendary dad and follows his advice every step of the way.

With the help of Jean-Lous, Justin managed to lease a few parcels of remarkable vines - one within the Beaujolais Village appellation, below the town of Fleurie, and another parcel within one that Jean-Louis is well-known for: La Chapelle des Bois.

His wines are gentle and fun, and he works on all his parcels by himself, with organic methods and usually without sulfites.

Doorstep Delivery

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
