Cascina Degli Ulivi Montemarino Bianco 2020

In 1977 at the tender age of 18, Stefano Bellotti reclaimed the family winery. It was more or less abandoned with less than 1ha of vines in use.

Today Cascina degli Ulivi produces wines from around 24ha of vines that have been worked biodynamically since 1985. The estate has been in the Bellotti family since the 1930’s but Stefano was the one who transformed it into what it is today.

A city boy with no agricultural training or wine making experience, Stefano effectively started with a blank canvas. Through his own empirical observations, he progressively came to eschew chemicals in his vineyards and eventually was heavily influenced by the philosophies of Rudolph Steiner.

This means no machinery is used, the grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes and only indigenous yeasts are used to ferment the wines. The usage of oak is limited to large, successively-used barrels of traditional provenance with some barrels being as large as 4000 liters. Since 2003, Stefano has completely omitted filtration and the addition of sulphites in order to produce the purest expression of his land.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
