Tony Bornard, the son of the renowned Philippe Bornard, embarked on his independent winemaking journey in 2013. Eventually, in 2017, he merged his own estate with his father`s, expanding his total vineyard holdings to an impressive 11.5 hectares. Located in the charming town of Pupillin, nestled within the Jura region, his vineyards benefit from the region`s unique terroir.

This particular release is made from Ploussard – also known as Poulsard – a red grape variety native to the Jura region. Expect a light-bodied and refreshing wine, boasting notes of wild strawberries, with subtle floral and herbal notes.

About the Producer

Domaine Bornard, a shining beacon of natural wine in the village of Pupillin in the Jura. The Domaine was founded by Phillipe Bornard in 2005 after Phillipe decided to leave his local cave co-operative after 30 years to make his own wine- thanks to some persuasion from friend and Jura legend, Pierre Overnoy. Phillipe quickly became one of the most interesting wine-makers in the region, crafting distinguished wines that are pure and some of the most exciting expressions of the region.

Like Pierre Overnoy, he picks by hand, respects his vines and intervenes at least in the vinification process. Inputs" are banned and SO2 is just used with mastery at the time of bottling. Long macerations, long maturing in casks, up to 3 years for the whites for example, characterize fine and delicate wines, vibrant, with precise flavours, also destined for long ageing and playing on an exceptional freshness!

Philippe has retired in 2017 and his son Tony currently runs the estate.

Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
