All’Ombra dei Pini is an orange wine produced from Catarratto grapes grown on high ground (650m altitude). Aged in French oak barrels for 8 months. Aromas punch! So much going on, loads of lemon, orange peel, grilled and smoky/flinty quality which is immediately very delicious. Salty acidity core, there’s a great deal of freshness to counterbalance the density.
About the Producer

Longarico is the small project of two friends: Alessandro Viola and Luigi Stalteri. The former, after graduating in oenology in 2007 moves to Piedmont to work with Donato Lanati. The latter runs a natural wine bar in Bologna. In 2015 they both feel the call to return to their native Sicily and start the Longarico project on the hills of Mount Alcamo.

With the aim of promoting their land, they initially decided to focus on the most representative of the indigenous variety of Alcamo: Catarratto. Today they manage a few hectares of organically farmed vines located in Contrada Fastuchera on calcareous-clay soils.

The very limited use of sulfites, only at bottling, the indigenous yeasts and the lack of any filtration allow for a pure expression of the varietal and the terroir, free from chemical manipulations.

Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients

Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
