Arnot-Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Clajeux Vineyard Chalk Hill 2019

The Clajeux Vineyard is located on a steep volcanic hillside overlooking a secluded valley in the Chalk Hill region of Sonoma County. This geologically complex area is made up of countless ridges and valleys that form the terrain separating Knights Valley to the East from the Russian River Valley to the West. Vines are planted in 1999 in volcanic soil at 400' in Chalk Hill, with a combination of well-drained, rocky volcanic soil and cooling afternoon breezes. Fermented 30% whole cluster with native yeast, basked pressed to French oak barrels, aged for 22 months. Only 8 barrels produced.
