Antoine Bouvet Bisseuil 2019/2020

Antoine is the grandson of Guy Bouvet who founded the Champagne house in 1970. Always curious in the winemaking, Antoine followed his grandfather since he was a young child. When Antoine turned 17, Guy Bouvet gave him the estate.

Antoine Bouvet is based in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, just a stone's throw from Épernay. It is spread over three villages classified as premier cru: Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bisseuil and Avenay-Val-d'or. If the estate has skipped a generation - Antoine's father chose to pursue a career in accounting - Antoine benefits from his grandfather's extraordinary work on the plant front. Old mass selections make up the richness of its vines, their great age allows them to dig deep into the chalky soils and their genetic diversity brings unparalleled complexity. Recently, his brother Maxime joined him on the estate.

Antoine looks after the small 5ha of which only 1ha is used for his own production whilst the rest is sold to Bollinger. This means that that very limited bottles are produced and on average only a 1000 bottles are made per cuvée.

In the vineyards, Antoine practices biodynamic methods, uses spontaneous fermentation and believes in minimum intervention order to preserve the purity of his fruit as much as possible. In the cellar, fermentation begins naturally and there is as little intervention as possible on the wines.

Standard Delivery
Complimentary standard delivery on orders $100+ within 3 working days. For this option, we are unable to guarantee chilled delivery.

Next Day Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $150+, or $25 flat fee. Orders are delivered from 12pm - 8pm. Next day delivery cut off is at 12pm. Orders must be placed by 12pm to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the day after. No 'next day' delivery on Sundays; only 1-hour deliveries apply. 'Next day' orders placed after Friday 12pm will be fulfilled on Monday.

There will be no next-day deliveries on Sundays, public holidays or days that the store is closed, unless otherwise announced online.

1-Hour Delivery
Complimentary delivery on orders $300+, or $35 flat fee. Orders are delivered between 12pm - 4pm. Place order by 3pm latest to receive within the hour. Orders placed after 3pm cut off will be delivered the following day. Please expect delays with unfavourable weather conditions.

Wrong Addresses or No Recipients
Please ensure that delivery addresses, particularly for gifts, are entered correctly otherwise additional costs may be incurred.
