Tailleurs Cueilleurs Grenalâ 2022
Bugey, Savoie / France
50 years old gamay at 540 meters of altitude, exposed south-east on marno-calcareous soil. A deeper fruit set accented with tangy raspberry, pepper and fragrant pine forest. Remarkably polished and sapid.
This is the second harvest from Chloe and Jordan of Tailleurs Cueilleurs, based in Bugey. Tailleurs Cailleurs (meaning pruners-pickers) are based in the village of Saint-Jean-Ie-Vieux, on northern side of Bugey. Here Chloé Bey and Jordan d'Osualdo farm a number of small plots spread across the area, working organically and biodynamically in order to promote a healthy and active ecosystem around the vines. In the cellar no sulphur is used at any stage and all wines are aged in demi-muids before bottling without filtration.
