Tom Lubbe, the mastermind behind Matassa, brings us another delightful orange wine. Marguerite, named after Tom's wife Natalie's grandmother, is a blend of 3 varietals - Macabeu, Mosacata di Alessandria, Muscat Blanc à Petit Grain, fermented on skins using native yeast in used oak barrels, then aged in small used barriques for 10-12 months. No sulphur added, unfiltered and unfined.

Intense, fresh with tropical fruit notes, Margeurite is vibrant, intense and fresh, with tropical fruit notes of mango and butter, and a lengthy finish.

Originally from South Africa, Tom Lubbe left for Rousillon to a small village of 300 people and never returned. He started Matassa in 2022 and has since become a cult producer. His vines are incredibly low yielding, giving his wines gorgeous concentration and minerality. His wines are true wines of terroir.
