A light-bodied Gamay with plenty of dark red fruits. 100% biodynamically cultivated Gamay. The grapes are hand-harvested from limestone-volcanic soils and macerate for a short period of time prior to pressing and spontaneous fermentation in fiberglass. The wine is then racked to neutral oak barrel for élevage prior to bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2.

Born in Anjou, Vincent Tricot left the Loire and attended Oenology School in Beaujolais in the early 1990s. Later he stayed on in the region, and apprenticed in Brouilly with winemaker Patrick Coton. Around this time he met Marcel Lapierre and other winemakers who were making wine in a non-interventionist style, and decided to join this path.

In 2002, he moved with his wife and 2 daughters to the village of Orcet in Auvergne, where they purchased 4.5 ha of organic wines and planted an additional 6 ha. He was excited for this rare opportunity to be working in the area with the largest concentration of pre-phylloxera vines in France. They released their first cuvee Les Marcottes in 2003, without any added sulphur and have continued this approach for all their wines.
