Jessica Litaud Pouilly-Fuisse Patchwork 2021
JESSICA LITAUD POUILLY-FUISSE PATCHWORK 2021
Burgundy // France
Jessica's fastidious approach is emphasised here by the hand harvesting of the grapes before being chilled for at least 12 hours before an ultra gentle pressing. The result is a Chardonnay that bears so much finesse and elegance.
One for the cellar.

A name that circulates on the lips of many wine enthusiasts, Jessica Litaud is one of our favourite wine makers and a brilliant young talent crafting crystalline white Burgundies out of supposedly 'humble' Mâconnais terroirs.
After working with Jean-Marie Guffens and spending two vintages with Jean-François Ganevat in the Jura, Jessica returned in 2019 to take over her family's 5.5ha of biodynamically farmed vines including some of Pouilly-Fuissé's long-awaited 1er Cru vineyards: 'La Marechaude', 'Sur La Roche', and 'Les Crays'.
Deciding to work alone, Jessica's annual production is minute and her work is incredibly hands-on and precise. Her wines are characterised by their purity and fruit concentration, balanced by gentle oak and saline mineral nuances. This lightness of touch is rarely found in Burgundy and as a result allocation of her wines have become increasingly hard to come by.
