Mr. Ohno is a "super crazy" grape farmer in Yamagata prefecture. This wine is a field blend of grapes from Mr. Ohno - a  blend of chardonnay and then hybrid Japanese grapes takao, ougyoko, shinano smile, rosalio bianco. The chardonnay is made separately however, then blended with the hybrid grape ferments. So savoury, so jubey, lollies and herbs and spice. Orange peel, tobacco, green herbs. Such a distinct and yet unique feel to this wine. Fine tannins and wildly interesting.
