From vines planted in 2022. Wild strawberry meets earthy minerality. Lively and bright. Great on its own, and even better with cheese!

With its 2021 maiden vintage La Grapp’A has risen from an under-the-radar producer to the somm's favourite new Jura domaine.

Domaine La Grapp'A is a brand new Jura estate, managed with passion by Aurélie Parla and Julien Maublanc. Established in Abergement-le-Grand, the 2021 vintage marks the start of their journey, with a remarkable first vintage. Domaine La Grapp'A immediately opted for an environmentally friendly approach by adopting organic farming and biodynamics on nearly 5 hectares of vines. Their plots are home to a treasure trove of grape varieties, including Pinot Fin, old massales of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Trousseau and Ploussard. Natural grass cover reigns supreme, eliminating any recourse to chemical weedkillers, while vineyard treatments are carried out with Bordeaux mixture or plant decoctions, in harmony with nature. The harvest is a sacred moment at Domaine La Grapp'A, where the selection of grapes for winemaking is carried out with particular attention to detail, all within the family. The winemaking process begins with cold maceration without adding sulfur, allowing the color of the grapes to be enriched before fermentation. The latter takes place using indigenous yeasts, under the watchful eye of the famous Fanfan Ganevat. Lots of vinification trials, different agings and experimentation in this promising young estate.
