Kunoh × Fattoria Al Fiore Rosé 2019

Origin: Miyagi Prefecture, Japan
Grapes: Field Blend

A field blend of chardonnay and then hybrid Japanese grapes takao, ougyoko, shinano smile, rosalio bianco. Phew. What a thing! The chardonnay is made separately however, then blended with the hybrid grape ferments. Crazy town. So savoury, so jubey, lollies and herbs and spice. Orange peel, tobacco, green herbs. Such a distinct and yet unique feel to this wine. Fine tannins shape things, perky acidity sits under and through the wine. It’s a feast for the senses. And wildly interesting.
