Grapes: Cabernet Franc

Delicate cranberry with dried herbs and green vegetal notes (sun-ripened tomato and tomato leaf). On the palate more red berries follow: red currant & Raspberry. Elegant mouth feel with delicate tannins and balanced acidity.

Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and crushed by foot. The juice ferments in barrel with indigenous yeast and no racking.  It spends 2 year aging in large Stockinger barrels and is bottled without fining or filtering and no addition of sulfur.

The vineyards consist of sandy gravel, schist and limestone, planted with 40+-year-old vines. A moderating influence from the large nearby Lake Neusiedler keeps this wine very fresh.
