Punt Road Emperor's Prize Chardonnay - Temple Cellars
Punt Road's Emperor's Prize vineyard at Coldstream stands as one of the Australian wine industry’s most historic sites. Planted in the 1862, the original vineyards were responsible for many wine awards, including the Emperor's Prize at the 1881 Melbourne International Exhibition. Emperor’s Prize has a strong fruity aromas of stone fruit, grapfruit, citrus on the nose with hints of oaking. On the palate it is creamy and buttery yet still vibrant with good acidity.
