Origin: Barossa Valley, Australia
Grapes: 76% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 7% Mataro, 5% Cinsault
Levity in red wine. Come hither stuff.
Mike Bennie (The Wine Front)
Timaeus is the Grenache-dominant blend in the Ruggabellus stable. It's a lither, more streamlined wine than some of the Shiraz or Mataro blend siblings.
Built on fine bones of tannin and a refreshing backbone of acidity, this is a beautiful modern expression of a Rhone-styled blend from the Barossa Valley. Delicate on the nose. Fresh and spicy with notes of bright red cherry and berries. There's also pepper, herbs and a distinct savoury edge. Good length and silky tannins. Give it a little time to express its full character.
Organic, Biodynamic
