Rachel Signer started Persephone Wines in 2020 in Adelaide Hills. Two vats of Chardonnay fermented and aged in ceramic (one egg from Spain, one amphora from South Australia), blended with barrel-fermented/aged Semillon. The Chardonnay was grown in Hanhdorf; Semillon from Magpie Springs vineyard in Hope Forest near Maclaren Vale.
Rachel is a writer originally from the U.S., now based in South Australia. She is the author of the memoir, You Had Me At Pét-Nat, and publisher and founder of Pipette Magazine which we also stock!
