Ochota Barrels Weird Berries in the Woods 2018 - Temple Cellars

ORIGIN: Australia (Adelaide Hills)

GRAPE VARIETAL: Gewürztraminer

ABV: 11.8%

VOL: 750ml

Not your typical Gewurz! A few hours on skins, wild fermented and lees stirring creating a aromatic, bright wine with so much to offer. It still has the pretty Turkish delight nose but with a lively fresh palate with good acidity – not downed in alcoholic viscosity like so many. Lychee, tangello blossom, lavender, miya lemon and manuka honey can be detected far from the glass. A rose petal infused lemongrass entry followed by chalky, mandarin skinned texture, forming a foundation for the jasmine and ginger infused acid line which finishes long and bright. A very drinkable aromatic wines. Get excited! Extremely Limited.

Recommended Food Pairing: Roast duck; grilled chicken; roast pork; steamed or BBQ shrimps and crabs; steamed shellfish lightly seasoned with ginger juice; mild curries; delicately flavoured cheese and dried fruits; roasted vegetables (carrots, squash, eggplant, peppers)
