Referring to the free, pragmatic and constantly evolving side of Mathieu. Qualities found in this vintage, on the fruit expressing a range of pleasure.
100% Syrah, on a clay-limestone soil and a fairly deep clay soil. The grapes are destemmed for more flexibility. Fermentation and aging are carried out in concrete vats to preserve the purity of the fruit.
Petit Ours 2018 promises to be superb. This cuvée is already a hit in wine bars and restaurants in France and Navarre. 2018 already turns out to be drinkable with an explosion of blackcurrant and slightly liquorice blackberries from the start. The palate offers a more subtle, supple and crunchy syrah than usual.
A treat of freshness!
