L.A.S. Vino Albino PNO 2018 - Temple Cellars
$70.00

Origin: Margaret River, Australia

Grapes: Pinot Noir 80%, Chardonnay 20%

The Albino PNO is a unique and wonderful creation. A flat table wine made out of 8 barrels of Pinot Noir and 2 of Chardonnay, the Pinot is pressed gently off its skins and both varieties fermented separately in barrel. No fining, no filtration, this is a seriously funked up Rosé. In the pursuit of "strawberries and cream" in a bottle, Nic's Albino is textural, delightful and thought-provoking. And most importantly, it is ridiculously moreish.

"Golden colour with a pink tease. Complex bouquet of strawberries, fresh figs, wild honey and peaches - the longer in the glass the more in reveals. Strong chardonnay influence on this wine - textured and concentrated mid - palate, it's powerful yet balanced. Stone fruits rather than classic red berries steering the ship. A compelling wine that re- defines the category. Deserves serious attention." 95/100 - Nick Butler, The Real Review
