Koerner Mammolo Sciacarrello 2021

Koerner Mammolo Sciacarrello 2021
Region: Clare Valley, South Australia
Grapes: Sciacarello
A rare gem from the talented Koerner brothers. Sciaccarello (Shak-ar-ello) is an Italian red skinned grape, originating from Corsica. It's known for being perfumed, vibrant and rarely seen as a solo variety, traditionally blended away.
It's a light bodied red with serious charisma. Frisky and fresh feeling with a unique vibe, curious wine drinkers looking for interesting light bodied reds should walk this way. Only 390 dozen made.
Jono and Damon Koerner are the innovative brothers behind this relatively new label that has been making waves across the country for a few vintages now. They grew up in the Clare Valley, but have since spent time working and studying around Australia and overseas. Their winemaking philosophy is simple – to make wines that reflect their place in the world, wines that are made in the vineyard. Managing the grapes organically, picking them not too early, not too late, and using only those grapes and a dash of preservatives make the wines. The wines are light, fresh, textured and well structured...as well as being highly drinkable! with high drinkability.
