Jan Matthias Klein Orang Utan 2021

Origin: Mosel, Germany
Grapes: Riesling 65%, Muskateller (Yellow Muscat) 35%

Very long fermentation (including some carbonic maceration) and aging on the skins for six months in large casks is followed by bottling without filtration or addition of SO2. The wine has a hazy apricot color with refreshing acids, good grip, and generous mouthfeel in spite of its delightfully modest 11.5% alcohol.

Rich peach fruit and texture balanced by salty acidity. A very delicious and surprisingly fine orange wine.
