Shaped by her tempestuous youth, she is an unconventional type that radiates vitality and enjoys life to the fullest. She feels at home in company is open to strangers and rewards friends with deep insights into her innermost qualities.
From Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe of natural wine cult winery Gut Oggau, Josephine is a blend of Blaufrankisch and Roesler (Austrian grape created in the 70's from Zweigelt and a strain of Blaufrankisch) from 35 year old vines. The wine is vinified without stems, fermented and aged in used barrels. Unfiltered, unfined and no sulfur added. Bright, lively and aromatic expression of Burgenland fruit with as little intervention as possible.
Gut Oggau is an estate with 14 hectares of vineyards located in the province of Burgenland, at the edge of Lake Neusiedl. Founded by Eduard and Stephanie Tscheppe, this is a winery that produces unique and original biodynamic wines certified by Demeter.
