Dated all the way back to the 17th century. Domaine la Barroche was founded when Alexandre Barrot began obtaining land in Chateauneuf du Pape. Those original purchases, which became what we know of as Domaine la Barroche, along with more land bought at later dates, have remained in the hands of the same family for hundreds of years.

Sensual, haunting and mesmerising. Floral, rose and red berry fruit characteristics. Expansive, seamless flavours that caress their way across the palate. Breath-taking. Barroche's legendary 100% Grenache cuvée that comes from a plot of 100 year old vines planted on the sandy soils at the junction of the Rayas, Grand Pierre and Pointu sectors, found on the way to Courthezon from Châteauneuf. The wine is fermented gently and aged in unobtrusive large old oak foudres. Only 4,000 bottles are made
