Domaine de L'R Frederic Sigonneau Chenin 2016 - Temple Cellars

ORIGIN: France (Loire)

ABV: 13.5%

VOL: 750ml

Lovely medium gold with a hint of viscosity. The nose carries medium intensity which slowly develops with hints of lemon. This high acidity Chenin Blanc has tension and density, is exuberant in the flavors and endowed with a beautiful long dry finish. Notes of honeysuckle, orange peel, ripe pear, sultana, dried apple, earth makes this a wonderful wine in the style of a Saumur blanc! This is a well structured white which tastes good now or to keep.

Recommended Food Pairing: Sweet and sour pork; roast turkey with cranberry sauce; tomato based pasta; herbed (dill, tarragon) baked fish with a squeeze of lemon; soft to medium firm cheeses and triple cream brie; grilled squash or roasted mushrooms; stewed cabbage; roasted cauliflower and bell peppers.
