Origin: Languedoc, France
Grapes: Carignan
Vines 60 years old. Basalt soil. Direct pressing with whole clusters. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, method en cestral, 24 months aging, and degorging. Boisson Rouge" means "red drink" in French. (The goldfish is "Poisson Rouge"!)
Domaine des Dimanches wines are made in the south of France by Emile Eredia. He spent his childhood in Languedoc, and took over his friend's estate when her friend fell ill. The parcel consists of over 50 years old Claret, Terre Boulle, Cinsault, Carignan, Grenache, and Mourvèdre. The vineyard is located in the village of Aspiran in the Herault department, surrounded by small hills and often referred to as the "Tuscany of France". It has been operating on a biodynamic basis since it was purchased in 2005. It is no surprise that the Loire and Languedoc, of course, differ in acidity and ripeness depending on the quality of the soil and the grape varieties grown. His wines pay homage to the former world of cinema - he was previously a photographer for newspapers and ads!
