Barbera is becoming an emerging variety in the Adelaide Hills with some fantastic, rich, moreish examples to be found. We are loving working with this variety. This bright & spicy wine draws you in from the first pour. Blue fruits, smokey notes and crunchy acididty make is a classic pizza/BBQ match. 750 bottles produced.
According to The Wine Front’s Campbell Mattinson, this is “an excellent Barbera in anyone’s language.” It combines all the delicious, chewy, cherried fruit that the variety can muster and seasons it with a little savoury edge. The final wine is a brilliant example of the Adelaide Hills’ ability to produce medium weight red wines with loads of flavour. Wild yeast, basket pressed, single site, all seasoned (i.e. used) oak. Bottled unfined.
