Black Estate Home Pet Nat 2019 - Temple Cellars

Origin: North Canterbury, New Zealand
Grape: Chenin Blanc

Delicate white blossom, subtle lambs wool, bees wax, and clay. Effervescent, mouth filling with dense dry phenolic’s and an invigorating salty Home Vineyard finish. Drink today. No winemaking additives, un-fined, unfiltered.

Since the first harvest in 1999, Black Estate vines have produced complex and elegant fruit with dense weight and considerable length. To maximise the expression of site they employ considerable handwork throughout the season, all the vineyards are managed organically and farmed using biodynamic practices.

The Home Vineyard is located 6 kilometres north east of the Waipara Junction, in the Omihi sub-district of Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The slope is a north facing sedimentary clay fan on a gentle hill side slope. The soils are mainly Awapuni clay loam with calcium carbonate deposits.
