Muga is a family-owned wine estate, founded in 1932 in the Rioja region of Spain.
The style of the wines is closely tied to the climatic conditions of the Oja-Tirón river valley, to the far west of the appellation, and where most of Muga's vineyards and those of its suppliers are concentrated.
Rioja traditional varieties make up the core of Muga wines. For the reds, the iconic Tempranillo defines the Muga style along with other varieties like Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano. For the whites, the estate grows Viura and Malvasia.
