Le Coste

Founded in 2004 by Gianmarco Antonuzi and Clémentine Bouveron, Le Coste is a distinctive natural wine estate in Gradoli, northern Lazio, overlooking the volcanic shores of Lake Bolsena. What began with a few hectares of abandoned vineyards has grown into a remarkable project rooted in a deep respect for the land and its local grape varieties.

Working organically and following biodynamic principles, Gianmarco and Clémentine take a hands-on approach in the vineyards and keep intervention in the cellar to a minimum, allowing spontaneous fermentations and the character of each vintage to shine through. The region’s iron-rich volcanic soils lend the wines a distinctive mineral, savoury edge, while native varieties like Procanico, Aleatico and Greghetto bring their own personality to the mix. Expect wines that are vibrant yet complex, with plenty of depth, texture and a wonderfully untamed energy. From easy-drinking bottles to more contemplative, age-worthy cuvées, Le Coste is all about wines with a strong sense of place and plenty of character.

Lazio // Italy

Made with mostly Sangiovese, with small amounts of Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo and Vaiano, planted together as is tradition in the area.
